Harold L. Seitz of Silvis died on September 8, 2020, and the Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and loved ones.

Seitz was born April 7, 1919, in Moline to Jess and Ida Bridges Seitz and married Violet Krieger on April 27, 1941, in Palmyra, Missouri.

Served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II as a nose gunner on a B-24 bomber, flying over 35 missions.

Worked for the U.S. Post Office early in his career and later worked at and retired from the Rock Island Arsenal.

Survived by three children (Andrea "Andy" Gull, Jay Seitz, and Gary Seitz), 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
