Jimmie Wayne Fairbanks of Bloomington passed away on April 1, 2020, at age 89, born October 19, 1930 in Ottawa to Thomas and Dora Williams Fairbanks.

Served as a Korean War veteran in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 and owned and operated the Fairbanks Painting Company in Bloomington for nearly 40 years.

Was an active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bloomington VFW, Lakeside Country Club, and served as an Exalted Ruler in the Elks Lodge.

Survived by three children (Daniel, David, and Jami), three grandchildren, and sister Ellen Klotz; preceded in death by both wives Sally Benjamin and Evelyn Alwes, and siblings Steve and Mary Anne.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to Fairbanks' family and directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to the family.
