Edward J. "Ed" Debowski of East Moline passed away on November 9, 2020, at age 96.

Served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946 as a 2nd Class Petty Officer on the U.S.S. Shannon destroyer minelayer during World War II.

Worked 11 years at U.S. Steel Mill in Pennsylvania and 27 years as an electrician at Alcoa in Illinois before retiring in 1990.

Active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where he sang in the choir and served on the Catholic Credit Union board.

Senate extends condolences to his surviving wife Ann (married 71 years), eight children, 14 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
