Illinois Senate expresses condolences on the death of Durwood "Durk" Fogle of Rock Island, who passed away on October 29, 2020

Durk Fogle was born February 14, 1927, in Briar, Missouri; graduated from Doniphan High School in 1943; served in U.S. Army during World War Two in the Asiatic Pacific Theater; and married Cathleen (Trimble) DePaepe on August 20, 1976

Worked at International Harvester Farmall Works in Rock Island and retired as a foreman after more than 32 years of service

Was an accomplished checkers player who won many state and regional titles and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and helping family and friends

A suitable copy of the resolution will be presented to the family of Durk Fogle as an expression of the Senate's deepest sympathy
