Kenneth J. "Ken" Maier of Hillsdale passed away on November 3, 2020, and the Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and loved ones.

Ken Maier was born April 17, 1934, in Rock Island; graduated from Rock Island High School in 1952; earned an accounting degree from Augustana College in 1956; and served in the U.S. Army's 3rd Armored Division from 1956 to 1958.

Ken Maier worked in the auditing department of John Deere for nearly 30 years, primarily in overseas locations, and retired in 1987.

Ken Maier enjoyed hunting, horse showing, trail rides, and competitive pool play in tournaments across the region and in Las Vegas.

The Senate directs that a copy of this resolution be presented to Ken Maier's family as an expression of sympathy.
