Senate Resolution mourning the death of Dolores Madgeline Hockett, who passed away on October 12, 2020

Hockett was born in Chicago on July 5, 1931, and worked as an elementary school crossing guard, for Beeline Fashions, and for the Chicago Board of Elections for 31 years, where she advocated for voter registration and education

Active parishioner at multiple Catholic parishes and dedicated member of the Knights of Peter Clave Ladies Auxiliary; enjoyed bowling, traveling, playing saxophone, fashion design, and the Golden Girls Club

Survived by eight children (Carter, Terrie, Carlotta, Carl, Tanya, Clifford, Courtney, and Theresa), 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren

Illinois Senate extends condolences to her family and friends, and directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to her family
