Jane Christie Johnson of Oak Park died on July 14, 2020 at the age of 101, having been born on July 29, 1918.

Jane Johnson volunteered at West Suburban Hospital, served as den mother for Cub Scout and Girl Scout troops, was treasurer of the Nineteenth Century Club, and hosted college-age foreign students in her home.

She was known for her hospitality, infectious energy, baking expertise (particularly pie crusts), and love of travel to destinations including Greece, Alaska, Italy, Ireland, and Paris.

Jane Johnson was preceded in death by her husband Raymond A. Johnson and eight siblings; she is survived by four children, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Illinois Senate expresses condolences to Jane Johnson's family and friends, with a suitable copy of the resolution to be presented to her family.
