Gloria Jean Garofalo of Oak Park died on July 11, 2020, at age 76; she was born October 30, 1943, in Westlake, Ohio.

Worked as a United Airlines stewardess in the 1960s where she met her husband John Garofalo, whom she was married to for 54 years.

Held positions including assistant teacher at Emerson Junior High School, Assistant Director of Individual Giving at Brookfield Zoo, and spent most of her career with the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust in various roles including Director of Development.

Actively volunteered in the Oak Park community, serving with the Whittier School PTO, Campfire Girls of Oak Park, Oak Park Day Nursery Board, Ernest Hemingway Foundation, and PEO women's philanthropic group.
