Illinois Senate commemorates the death of Louis Peter "Lou" Cipparrone, who passed away on November 17, 2019 at age 88.

Cipparrone was born June 14, 1931 in Chicago, served as an army medic in the Korean War with the 4076 MASH Unit, and worked 31 years at the Louis Zahn Drug Company.

He married Joann Greene on August 31, 1959 and raised five children (Mickie, Louie, Cathy, Debbie, and Pete) in Oak Park; he had 14 grandchildren.

Cipparrone was known for his dedication to family, including hosting weekly family dinners for nearly 30 years, and for his enthusiastic displays of holiday decorations and the American flag on his Forest Avenue home.

Senate extends condolences to Cipparrone's surviving family members and orders a suitable copy of this resolution presented to his family.
