Robert G. "Bob" Dugal of Oak Park passed away on April 9, 2020 at age 58; he was born June 1, 1961 to William J. Dugal Jr. and Jacqueline Brady Dugal.

Graduated from Oak Park and River Forest High School in 1979 and earned a bachelor's degree in business management from Purdue University in 1984.

Pioneered curb cut programs in Oak Park during the early 1990s to accommodate wheelchair users and was a champion for disabled rights and Americans with Disabilities Act compliance despite having Friederich's Ataxia.

Served as a lifelong Democratic Party member, state legislative aide, founded the Oak Park Committee on the Disabled, and was a founding member of the Progress Center of Independent Living.
