Honors the memory of Leroy Jordan of Springfield, who died on September 5, 2020.

Recognizes Jordan's career as the first African American male schoolteacher in a Springfield classroom, his service on the District 186 School Board (1976-1982, serving as president twice), and his roles as Vice President of Academic Affairs at Sangamon State University and assistant superintendent for District 186.

Notes Jordan's extensive community involvement with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Prince Hall Masons, NAACP, Urban League, Girl Scouts of Central Illinois, and as co-chair of the Springfield Dominican Anti-Racism Team.

Extends condolences to Jordan's surviving family, including his wife Johnetta, four daughters, grandchildren, and siblings.

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to Jordan's family as an expression of sympathy.
