Senate Resolution mourning the death of Martin Lynn Maguet of Monticello, who died on June 13, 2020.

Maguet was born September 23, 1936, graduated from Decatur High School in 1954, earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Illinois, and served as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.

Spent 33 years as an educational administrator and teacher in the Monticello School District, earning recognition including "One Who Excels" from the Illinois Department of Education, Teacher of the Year, and Outstanding Educator of America Award.

Active member of Monticello United Methodist Church serving as Lay Leader; known as an avid reader, sports fan, and devoted dog lover.

Survived by his wife Karen, three children (Kathryn, Michael, and Mark), three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and brother Larry Maguet.
