Illinois Senate expresses condolences on the death of Carrie Lou Jones of Chicago, who passed away on July 16, 2020.

Carrie Jones was born January 24, 1931 in Oxford, Mississippi; earned an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Loop Junior College; and worked as an educator with children for many years.

Active in her faith at Cathedral Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago since 1975, serving as president of the Pastor's Aide, Missionary Board, and Mother's Board.

Survived by nine children, 29 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Senate directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Carrie Jones's family as an expression of sympathy.
