Illinois Senate commemorates the death of Timothy Earl "Rock" McCoy of Champaign, who passed away on December 22, 2020.

McCoy was born April 26, 1967 in Jackson, Mississippi; graduated from Champaign Central High School in 1985; served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Gulf War; and earned degrees from Parkland College and Eastern Illinois University.

McCoy worked as a union painter at the University of Illinois and later as a case manager and mentor for Haven Focused, LLC; volunteered as a coach for the Champaign Park District.

McCoy is survived by his wife Kimberly, four children (Joshua, Sidney, Tori, and Madison), his mother, two brothers, one sister, and six grandchildren.

Senate extends condolences to McCoy's family and friends and directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to the family.
