HB0042 Summary

• Establishes continuing appropriations for distributions to local governments and other entities from five state funds: State and Local Sales Tax Reform Fund, Motor Fuel Tax Fund, State Gaming Fund, Local Government Video Gaming Distributive Fund, and Statewide 9-1-1 Fund when no enacted appropriation exists.

• Removes "subject to appropriation" language from various statutes to allow automatic distributions to municipalities and counties without requiring annual legislative approval.

• Provides that continuing appropriations discontinue only if the General Assembly enacts an appropriation on or after July 1 of any calendar year, at which point the enacted appropriation supersedes.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
