IL HB0056

Amends the Local Government Officer Compensation Act to require county boards to separately list all stipends that elected county officers are expected to receive in addition to their base compensation from the county.

Stipends that must be listed include those received under specific sections of the Property Tax Code, Counties Code, and the Clerks of Courts Act.

Maintains the existing requirement that compensation for elected officers must be fixed at least 180 days before the beginning of their terms.

Applies to county elected officers whose compensation is fixed by ordinance or resolution of the county board or board of county commissioners.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
