Hospitals must report quarterly on nursing hours per patient day, infection-related measures, and maternal/infant mortality data disaggregated by race and ethnicity.

New reporting requirements include the number of female patients who died within the reporting period and female COVID-19 patients with underlying conditions who died at the hospital.

Hospitals must submit annual reports on vacancy and turnover rates for licensed nurses by clinical service area.

Department must establish an advisory committee including hospital representatives, nursing staff, physicians, researchers, and consumers to review and validate all reported data before public disclosure.

Hospitals receive 30 days to review and correct data before public release, and disclosed information cannot be used to establish standards of care in civil litigation.
