IL HB0339

Amends the Short-Term, Limited-Duration Health Insurance Coverage Act by removing requirements for expiration dates on short-term health insurance policies delivered or issued in Illinois.

Eliminates the previous requirement that policies must expire less than 181 days after the effective date and cannot be renewed or extended within 365 days of coverage ending.

Removes the definition of renewal as the issuance of a new short-term policy within 60 days after a previous policy expires.

Retains prohibitions on rescinding policies before expiration except for nonpayment of premiums or fraud, and maintains the option for individuals to cancel coverage after any 30-day interval.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
