HB0370 Summary

• Creates the Youth Health and Safety Advisory Working Group to identify and review laws and regulations impacting pregnant and parenting youth under age 18.

• Working group shall provide information and resources on healthcare access, pregnancy, abortion, adoption, parenting, counseling services, emancipation, and insurance coverage for youth.

• Membership composed of 28 total members appointed by the Senate President, Senate Minority Leader, Speaker of the House, House Minority Leader, Governor, and legislative leaders, with requirement that at least 9 members be youth under age 18.

• Working group shall issue a public report with findings and recommendations submitted to the Governor and General Assembly by July 1, 2023.

• Act is repealed on January 1, 2024, and repeals Public Act 89-18 from 1995.
