IL HB0450

Prohibits the Department of Healthcare and Family Services and Medicaid managed care organizations from denying reimbursement to pharmacists for services or procedures within their scope of practice if the same service would be covered when provided by a physician, advanced practice nurse, or physician assistant.

Requires that pharmacist-provided services be performed in strict compliance with all applicable laws and rules related to the service and the pharmacist's license to qualify for reimbursement protection.

Amends Section 5-5.12 of the Illinois Public Aid Code regarding pharmacy payments under the Medical Assistance Article.
