Amends the County Jail Act to require the State to reimburse counties for costs of maintaining incarcerated persons beyond 30 days if the Department of Human Services fails to place them in a mental health facility within that timeframe after court-ordered transfer.

Applies reimbursement requirement to persons ordered by courts under the Code of Criminal Procedure, Unified Code of Corrections, or Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code to be placed in Department of Human Services custody for mental health treatment.

Covers persons imprisoned for misdemeanors, sentenced to county impact incarceration, or sentenced to periodic imprisonment at county jails.

Reimbursement obligation begins 30 days after the sheriff notifies the Department of Human Services of the court order to transfer the person.
