Requires school districts to provide parents or guardians of at-risk students with information about available community-based or in-school academic support services beginning with the 2022-2023 school year.

Defines "at-risk student" as a student at risk of dropping out due to individual academic needs who requires temporary or ongoing academic support services to succeed in school.

Specifies that academic support services may include individual or small-group tutoring, summer school programs, mentoring programs, and meetings with academic advisors.

Exempts school districts from responsibility for costs or transportation associated with students' participation in community-based academic support services.

Takes effect July 1, 2022, and applies to both regular school districts and Chicago Public Schools through separate code sections.
