Requires guardians ad litem appointed in divorce, marriage invalidity, parental responsibility allocation, or domestic violence cases to complete 40 total hours of training: 20 hours of classroom instruction and 20 hours of training by a domestic abuse advocate

Training must be offered by a statewide organization that advocates for survivors of domestic violence

Exempts state and local government units providing services, as well as public defender's offices, from the new training requirements

Amends Section 506 of the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act regarding representation of children in family court proceedings
