Creates new offense of unlawful possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle with unlawfully tinted windows under 720 ILCS 5/24-1.9.

Offense occurs when person knowingly possesses or carries a firearm and ammunition that are both immediately accessible in a vehicle on any street, road, alley, or other lands (except own abode or garage) without a valid Firearm Owner's Identification Card.

Second element requires the vehicle to have window treatments or tinting on the windshield or windows immediately adjacent to each side of the driver in violation of Illinois Vehicle Code Section 12-503.

Violation classified as a Class 2 felony.
