Amends the evidence-based funding provisions of the Illinois School Code to redirect state education funding to nonpublic schools when students transfer from public to private institutions

Beginning with the 2021-2022 school year, requires the State Board of Education to distribute per-pupil funding to nonpublic schools for students who leave their resident public school district to enroll in a private school

The nonpublic school would receive the same amount calculated under the evidence-based funding formula that the public school district would have received for that student

Provides for prorated funding if a student enrolls in a nonpublic school mid-year, based on the length of time the student attends the private school for the remainder of the school year

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
