IL HB1747

Amends the Public Utilities Act by adding Section 4-701 concerning electricity imports and exports from Illinois.

Requires the Illinois Commerce Commission to conduct at least one workshop and issue a report identifying volumes, generation sources by fuel type, and market values of hourly electricity imports to and exports from Illinois for 2016 through 2020.

Requires submission of the report to the Governor, General Assembly, and posting on the Commission's website on or before March 1, 2022.

Section 4-701 automatically repeals on January 1, 2023.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
