IL HB1751

Amends Section 15-86 of the Property Tax Code to specify that ambulance transport is a qualifying service that addresses health care needs of low-income or underserved individuals for purposes of hospital property tax exemptions.

Establishes that ambulance transport services are considered part of relief of government burden related to health care for low-income individuals under the exemption criteria.

Applies to not-for-profit hospital owners and hospital affiliates seeking charitable property tax exemptions under Illinois law.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
