IL HB1753

Amends the Property Tax Code Section 18-15 to change the levy certification deadline for most taxing districts from the last Tuesday in December to the third Tuesday in December.

Applies to all taxing districts except school districts subject to a Financial Oversight Panel under Article 1H of the School Code.

School districts under Financial Oversight Panel authority must certify their tax levy by the first Tuesday in November, or the Panel itself must certify by the last Tuesday in December.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
