Amends Section 10-22.13 of the School Code concerning school building closures

Requires school boards to hold at least 3 public hearings before closing a school building, unless the building is unsafe, unsanitary, or unfit for occupancy with proper notice

Public hearings must focus solely on discussing the decision to close a school building and receiving community input

School boards must publish notice of each public hearing at least 10 days prior, including the time, date, place, and name or description of the school building, on the school board's website

Takes effect upon becoming law
