IL HB1835

Expands the definition of "grantor agency" under the Illinois Grant Funds Recovery Act to include the Illinois Equal Justice Foundation when it makes grants under the Access to Justice Act or the Illinois Equal Justice Act.

Amends the Access to Justice Act to clarify that grants or distributions made "by" (rather than "to") the Illinois Equal Justice Foundation are subject to the Illinois Grant Funds Recovery Act requirements.

Applies grant fund recovery procedures and oversight to funds dispensed by the Illinois Equal Justice Foundation to ensure accountability and compliance with state grant requirements.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
