HB1937 Summary

• Establishes continuing appropriations for multiple revenue distribution funds that automatically disburse to local governments and entities when no annual appropriation is enacted by the General Assembly.

• Applies continuing appropriation authority to the State and Local Sales Tax Reform Fund, Motor Fuel Tax Fund, State Gaming Fund, Local Government Video Gaming Distributive Fund, and Statewide 9-1-1 Fund.

• Allows distributions to municipalities, counties, road districts, and 9-1-1 authorities to occur without requiring separate legislative appropriation each fiscal year if appropriations are not enacted by July 1.

• Provides that any appropriation enacted on or after July 1 of a calendar year supersedes the continuing appropriation for that state fiscal year.

• Becomes effective immediately upon enactment.
