IL HB2451

Amends Section 6-17 of the Election Code regarding dissolution of municipal boards of election commissioners.

Allows the county board or board of county commissioners in counties with populations under 100,000 to dissolve a municipal board of election commissioners by ordinance or resolution.

Transfers the dissolved board's functions to the county clerk.

Preserves existing procedures for larger cities, which still require a petition from 1,000 legal voters and voter approval to reject the election articles.
