IL HB2552

Amends the Child Care Act of 1969 to redefine "part day child care facility" to allow care for up to 40 hours per seven day week instead of the previous 10 hours per week.

Removes the requirement that care be provided "on an intermittent basis" from the definition.

Maintains requirement that facilities providing up to 40 hours per week cannot provide more than 8 hours of care in any single day.

Requires at least one caregiver per 20 children for facilities providing intermittent care up to 40 hours per week.

Requires written records of parent names, emergency contact numbers, and hours served for facilities operating more than 40 hours per week or charging fees.
