IL HB2601

Creates a new statewide reporting system through the State Board of Elections for election authorities to record receipt of vote-by-mail ballots.

Requires election authorities to record and categorize the number of vote-by-mail ballots by receipt timing: before election day, on election day, after election day with postmark on or before election day, and after election day with postmark after election day.

Maintains existing requirements that election authorities transmit voter information (name, address, email, precinct/ward/township/district numbers) to the State Board of Elections within one day of ballot receipt for maintenance on a publicly accessible website.
