The 2 at-large electors must cast ballots for the presidential and vice presidential candidate who received the highest number of votes statewide in Illinois.

Political parties continue to nominate and certify their slate of electors through state conventions or state central committees, with certification required within 2 days of selection.

Maintains existing procedures for resolving disputes between competing party conventions and for filling vacancies in elector positions.
