HB2695 - Department of Healthcare and Family Services Appropriations (FY2022)

• Appropriates $29,299,503,100 total for Department of Healthcare and Family Services ordinary and contingent expenses for fiscal year beginning July 1, 2021, funded from General Revenue Fund ($7,376,215,800), Other State Funds ($21,708,287,300), and Federal Funds ($215,000,000)

• Allocates funds across program administration, Office of Inspector General, child support services, legal representation, public aid recoveries, and medical assistance programs including hospital services, long-term care, and pharmacy coverage

• Appropriates $372,300,000 from General Revenue Fund for Healthcare Provider Relief Fund and establishes separate appropriations for specific health initiatives including trauma centers ($10,200,000), University of Illinois Hospital Services ($375,000,000), and special education Medicaid matching ($200,000,000)

• Provides funding for mental health and substance use disorder treatment enhancements ($7,000,000) and Federally Qualified Health Center rate updates ($25,000,000) from General Revenue Fund

• Takes effect July 1, 2021
