Requires charter school auditors to be independent contractors with no employment or affiliation with the charter school or its authorizer, other than conducting the audit

Establishes deadline of January 1, 2021 for charter school boards to include at least one parent or guardian of an enrolled student, selected through election, appointment, or charter school Parent Teacher Organization

Requires all voting members of charter school boards to complete minimum 4 hours of professional development training within first year, covering financial oversight, accountability, FOIA compliance, Open Meetings Act, and education/labor law; subsequent years require minimum 2 hours annually

Adds the Seizure Smart School Act to the list of state laws that charter schools must comply with

Takes effect July 1, 2021
