IL HB2806

Establishes the Local Volunteer Board Member Removal Act governing removal procedures for volunteer board and commission members in local government units.

Defines a "member" as an appointed volunteer serving without compensation (except expense reimbursement) on a local government board or commission, excluding individuals appointed to fill vacancies on elected boards.

Authorizes the person or entity that appointed a board member to remove that member for misconduct, official misconduct, or neglect of office.

Specifies that removal authority under this Act is in addition to any other removal methods provided by existing law.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
