IL HB2808

Amends the Illinois Election Code Section 4-50 regarding grace period voter registration to require grace period registrants to present identification showing their date of birth in addition to existing registration requirements.

Grace period registrants must provide identification with their date of birth when registering or changing their address during the period from registration close until and including election day.

Maintains existing grace period registration and voting procedures at election authority offices, permanent polling places, early voting sites beginning 15 days before election, election day polling places, and other designated locations.

Requires election authorities to transmit grace period voter information (name, address, email, precinct/ward/township/district numbers) to the State Board of Elections within one day of ballot casting for electronic record-keeping accessible to political committees.
