• Amends the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act to expand required disclosures on statements of economic interests filed by specified state and local officials.

• Adds eight new items that must be disclosed: all businesses the person is associated with; all income sources over $1,000; securities over $5,000 owned by the filer, spouse, or relatives; blind trusts and trustee names; all real property owned or held in trust; creditor names and addresses for debts over $10,000; State leases or contracts; and business partnerships with registered lobbyists or those doing business with the State.

• Creditor information filed under the bill is sealed and confidential, available only to the Secretary of State or county clerk unless a misconduct claim warrants disclosure.

• Defines "relative" to include spouse and blood or adoptive relations including parents, children, siblings, in-laws, step-relations, and half-siblings.

• Updates the form templates for statements of economic interests filed with both the Secretary of State and county clerks to reflect the new disclosure requirements.
