IL HB3004

Prohibits pension fund, investment board, or retirement system board members from being employed by that same organization during their service and for 12 months after leaving the board.

Allows a board member to temporarily serve as interim senior administrative staff if the position becomes vacant and no executive staff member will accept it.

Requires interim staff appointments to be approved by majority board vote, conducted with public documentation of a search for a permanent non-board replacement.

Limits interim board member service in senior administrative positions to a maximum of 6 months with no salary or benefits.

Requires the board member to resign from the board while serving as interim administrative staff.
