HB3358 Summary

• Amends the Environmental Protection Act to require the Environmental Protection Agency to establish and enforce minimum standards for laboratory operations conducting analyses related to air pollution, water pollution, noise emissions, contaminant discharges, and public water supply quality.

• Requires the EPA to ensure that Agency-owned and State-owned laboratory equipment is capable of accurate reporting and testing to meet newly revised environmental standards and regulations within one year of their adoption.

• Applies to laboratories performing analyses for air pollution, water pollution, noise emissions, contaminant discharges onto land, and sanitary, chemical, and mineral quality testing of public water supplies.
