Prohibits insurance policies and managed care plans from imposing deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, or other cost-sharing requirements on diagnostic testing for pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders when ordered by a licensed physician.

Exempts insurers from covering diagnostic testing for these disorders if a physician indicates the testing was requested by a guardian, authorized representative, or parent of a minor patient rather than the physician's own clinical judgment.

Requires insurance policies amended, delivered, issued, or renewed after July 18, 2017 to cover treatment of pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated with streptococcal infections and pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome, including intravenous immunoglobulin therapy.

Establishes medical coding for these disorders as autoimmune encephalitis until the American Medical Association and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services create a specific diagnostic code.

Prohibits physicians from refusing requests from guardians, authorized representatives, or parents of minor patients for minimally invasive diagnostic testing for pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated with streptococcal infections and pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome.
