IL HB3527

Amends the Time Standardization Act to make daylight saving time the year-round standard time for the entire State of Illinois beginning March 13, 2022.

Eliminates the requirement to "fall back" one hour on the first Sunday in November each year, removing the transition back to central standard time.

Applies the new time standard to all state laws, statutes, orders, judgments, rules, and regulations affecting the time of performance of any act by state officers, departments, local governments, schools, and individuals subject to state jurisdiction.

Preserves the requirement that Illinois adhere to the federal Uniform Time Act of 1966, with federal time changes controlling if they differ from the dates specified in this law.

Supersedes the previous provision that adjusted time on the second Sunday in March and first Sunday in November each year by replacing it with permanent daylight saving time beginning in 2022.
