• Amends the Workers' Compensation Act to require that accidental injuries arise out of employment only if the accident significantly caused or contributed to both the resulting condition and disability.

• Excludes injuries from coverage if the hazard or risk was not incidental to employment or was a hazard to which the general public is also exposed.

• Excludes injuries from coverage if they did not occur at a time, place, and under circumstances reasonably required by employment, or if the disability resulted from a personal risk.

• Limits repetitive or cumulative trauma claims to injuries where the trauma significantly caused or contributed to both the medical condition and disability; ordinary deterioration or degeneration caused by aging is not compensable.

• Establishes a 3-month threshold for repetitive trauma claims, allowing a prior employer to be liable only if exposure with that employer lasted fewer than 3 months and significantly caused the injury.
