IL HB3594

Allows sentence credit under paragraphs (3), (4), or (4.1) for prisoners serving sentences for specified offenses, applicable to credit earned before or after the effective date of this amendatory act.

Caps the total sentence reduction from such credits at no more than 5 years per prisoner.

Prohibits prisoners serving a term of natural life imprisonment from earning sentencing credit under these provisions.

Adds new paragraph (4.8) to the Unified Code of Corrections (730 ILCS 5/3-6-3) governing earned sentence credit awards for certain offense categories.
