IL HB3595

Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987 to require the Department of Children and Family Services to assess a minor's proposed living arrangement and provide ongoing monitoring when a minor is being restored to custody of a parent, legal custodian, or guardian living outside Illinois and an Interstate Compact has been requested and refused.

Applies this assessment and monitoring requirement to temporary custody orders under Section 2-10, dispositional orders under Section 2-23, court review proceedings under Section 2-28, and petitions to reinstate wardship under Section 2-33.

Authorizes courts to order DCFS assessments in cases where private guardianship orders may be modified or vacated to return a child to a parent, legal custodian, or guardian.

Requires the assessment to evaluate the minor's health, safety, and best interests, and mandates ongoing monitoring of compliance with any protective supervision orders.
