Exempts public or private educational entities offering credit-bearing vocational, career, or technical education to high school students from Department of Public Health asbestos testing and remediation requirements when courses are held in buildings on higher education campuses

The exemption applies only when the educational entity has no affiliation with the host institution of higher education beyond using the building for instruction

The host institution of higher education must already be in compliance with all state and federal asbestos testing, abatement, and remediation requirements for the exemption to apply

"Institution of higher education" includes universities, colleges, community colleges, junior colleges, and business, technical, or vocational schools offering post-secondary education

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
