• Expands the definition of "crisis intervention personnel" required to report suspected child abuse or neglect to include staff of homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, and any other shelter or halfway house.

• Adds these shelter and halfway house staff to the existing list of mandated reporters under the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act (325 ILCS 5/4).

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
