IL HB3905

Amends the Criminal Code of 2012 regarding prohibited use of force by peace officers, but only if House Bill 3653 of the 101st General Assembly becomes law.

Removes the prohibition against peace officers discharging kinetic impact projectiles and non-or less-lethal projectiles that target the head, pelvis, or back.

Maintains existing prohibitions on chokeholds, restraints above the shoulders with asphyxiation risk, use of force as punishment or retaliation, indiscriminate firearm discharge into crowds, and chemical agent use without proper dispersal orders.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
